Alarming News:
http://www.avclub.com/content/hater/what_does_vajayjay_mean_to_you

Now listen… I’ve been using the term Mrs VaJayJay for years (since high school) in selective situations. It worked every now and again for that mixture of being in mixed morals company and not wanting to sound like I was holding the idea of such an area at arms’s length with mental tongs. And now Oprah’s got ahold of my vajayjay. Fuck buckets.

Guess I’m just going to have to go back to always calling it “lady penis”. Dang that’ll be awkward for a few weeks, until Desperate Housewives starts co-opting that too.

Exercise X Learning English

October 25, 2007

While undoubtedly bizarre, maybe they’re on to something here.  One of the biggest roadblocks I’ve found to learning/refining a second language is a lack of exposure to it in daily life.  Pairing it up with other activities, like wearing spandex and trying out new ways to rock 80s bangs, just might help a bit.

Now they just gotta mix in some learning Japanese with endlessly looking through the mysterious persons entries on Wikipedia.

Lumberjack Thief

Lumberjack Thief

Friend of mine, also an anonymous coward.  Check his Last.fm playlist, usually pretty primo these days.  Though I remember when he was into Skye Sweetnum…

New motivation song.  Also, the video is pretty much what I want all videos to be.  Well, maybe half of ‘em.  Anyone know who directed this one?

NYTimes Op-Ed on Iraq rebuilding corruption.

A nice jolt of stomach acid before bed.  I’ve long maintained that the original intentions behind the Iraq war, establishing a solid base from which to extend American military dominance of the Middle East, was still  an actively sought after goal.  Its looking more and more like that was a lie that the neo-cons told themselves while those in the know stuffed their pockets.

The concept

October 21, 2007

So how about this:

A website that brings together scraps of creative content for use and abuse by other producers and just to get those lost bits languishing in the  backs of notebooks out there.  Couple this with interviews with artists about their process, how-tos, links to other free for the taking samples and scraps and online programs for this reinvention.  Maybe some software/supplies/tool reviews?

What would one name such a beast?

PiL – “Rise”

October 19, 2007

Great track. Gotta love the harmony on the chorus. Weird to see Rotten looking so young. Guess I’m used to the old man caricature he sports these days.

The best way to experience this song is, of course, via watching The Rules of Attraction, digging that one scene where the Dawson wakes up from pissing himself after two failed suicide attempts and gets the great idea to fake a slashed throat with fun blood. Classic cinema.

Death with Exercise

October 19, 2007

Shrapnel Shish ka bobbin
Duck and cover; hold your noggin
Someone’s bloggin’ about this right now
From his apartment with CNN onnnnn

Someone parks their car
Says a prayer
Hits a switch
And levels a city block
All the people inside
Make my jaw move and talk
What words can I say
It always sounds like shit

As soon as its born
Each word feels well worn
Every rose has its thorn
Awwwwwww
Shit!
