Platform valley.  Bored.  Dogs on drugs.  Story arc.  Made of no expectations.  Not no future but no long term, nothing exceedingly dragged out and designed to wither.

Satellite dishes have gotten smaller.  Lies have gotten bigger and more audacious, our ability to digest them has developed.  We’re all trying to look 5.  The new cool thing is needing your parents forever.  The hardest thing to conceive is living directly.  Trying every approach.  Missing that taste.  Nostalgia for products.  The only landscape that doesn’t change is that created by the multinational brands.  The fields of Nestle.  A beautiful warm Kraft orange sky

Its a good idea to have a kid with a good deep tan in your band if you’re kinda punk so racists don’t start liking you.  Blowjobs are a great way to say “Now we’re friends”.  A bleak town on some days, just bland the rest.  Built with an eternal faith, a codependence with electric lights.

A skin on the surface of things, something you only notice when its not there.  Its a comfort, a thing you hold on to.  Its what’s keeping you from being infected, keeping the wind from blowing through you.  There’s a point of hunger, of fear, of desperation where you feel it.  Colors are more intense, heat and cold become all the more so, every degree detectable like each one is a word with a different meaning.

…back.

Merry Stupid Xmas

December 22, 2007

I’m sure folks will understand.  The ones the Grandmas are getting are a little more Bob Hope Christmas Special.  Merry Something, you.

Bench

The dirt lights frozen on a platform I’m too tired to be on.  I spend too much time freezing my ass off waiting for an N or a W.

Whatever, its MY blog.

The best part for me is always the color commentary.

It’s Still Alive

Another shot from my bedroom.  I love images that evoke the weather and what it feels like on your skin.  Tonight is alive with possibilities precisely because of the temperature and shifting wind speed.

I am a meteorologically determined individual.

Played with Live again tonight…  I crave a full version and an absolute beast of a computer to run it on.

34th Street

So I really like Helvetica font in public spaces. Its a reassuring presence, somehow symbolic of order with hints of style and sanitation. Even somewhere as gross and dysfunctional as the New York subway.

The lines of florescent light tubes are also pretty stylish in that bomb shelter vision of the future sort of way.

This Film Is Not Yet Rated

I’ve been meaning to see this.  Seems to be one of those movies that everyone brings up in conversation but  no one has actually seen.  Well, nows our chance.

Wall Deco

This got put up on the wall I face a good chunk of the day while I write this and other things.  I have a thing for swiping airline safety cards.
While it occurs to me that I post mostly photos from the inside of my room, it seems apt as that I spend most of my time here.  Sleeping, writing, reading, etc.  I bet folks on the space station take a lot of photos of their capsule too.

I am also stark naked right now.
